About Adventure Land - The Code MMORPG

Forty new items are waiting to be found, crafted, traded, and mastered.

The latest expansion opens new crafting and reward paths and adds Fan of Knives, Arcane Needle, eleven animated emotes, and five new Citizens. An expanded Tutorial and Game Guide makes it easier to find your footing, while the public CODE API is now documented from end to end.

New Steam clients support Windows, Linux, and macOS. Whether you fight manually or build a coordinated CODE party, there is more to earn and discover across the world.

No programming experience is required. Move, fight, shop, trade, and explore manually, or begin with working default CODE. When you are curious, open the editor and change one line at a time. The Tutorial and Game Guide explain both paths.

Choose your own goals. Hunt rare items, build equipment, run a merchant stand, join a party, challenge bosses, enter PvP, or turn a small automation idea into a complete strategy.

CODE is part of the game, not an external bot. JavaScript can move characters, choose targets, use skills, manage items, trade, communicate, and react to the live world.

Control a party of up to four characters at once. Give each character a job, coordinate their skills, or keep things simple and play one character manually. Your CODE can grow with your party and your understanding of the game.

Choose a Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, Priest, or Merchant. Each class has distinct skills, equipment choices, and a clear place in a party—from frontline defense and damage to healing, control, support, trading, and gathering.

There are no skill trees to solve before you can play. Character growth comes from levels, equipment, upgrades, compounds, crafting, and the way you use each class.

Adventure Land is a shared online world with a persistent player economy. Fight monsters and cooperative bosses, search for rare drops, collect materials, craft new equipment, improve items, trade directly with players, or open a merchant stand.

Maps, events, strange interactions, achievements, tavern games, and seasonal encounters give your characters reasons to travel. Progress at your own pace; even familiar monsters can remain useful.

For players who want AI assistance, Adventure Land includes a Model Context Protocol server for compatible clients. Create a private connection token in Mainframe and a connected client can:

  • Read the game's guides, CODE contracts, and current deployed definitions.

  • Inspect your owned characters, equipment, inventory, bank, party, shop listings, and saved CODE.

  • Research gameplay and plan character progression using exact game data.

  • Write or review JavaScript CODE with your approval.

  • Start or stop Mainframe characters, then inspect their logs and lifecycle events.

MCP does not bypass Adventure Land's rules. Character behavior still runs as normal JavaScript CODE inside the game. It is an optional way to give compatible tools enough context to understand the world and help you operate within it.

Mainframe is Adventure Land's optional hosted CODE runtime. Choose an owned character, a saved CODE slot, and a live realm. Your character can keep running inside an isolated, network-free machine after the browser closes.

Assignments recover after service and host restarts. Mainframe keeps a separate event journal and CODE logs, so you can see what happened and revise the strategy. Use it directly from the Mainframe dashboard or through MCP.

Mainframe is a metered service. Its dashboard shows available Steam time, Shell use, and renewal terms before a character starts.

Adventure Land is open source. Read how its systems work, inspect the client, server, and game data, build tools or custom clients, and contribute improvements.

The public CODE API is documented from end to end. Optional MessagePack transport supports custom clients and external tools.

Play it as an MMORPG. Treat it as an automation sandbox. Learn JavaScript, master a class, build a party, or chase the next rare drop.
