About Forty Depths Beneath Knossos: The Minotaur's Maze Demo
Daedalus built the Labyrinth. Minos sealed him inside it.
Somewhere below, his son Icarus is still breathing — and so is the thing Minos put down here to keep them company.
This demo is the first arc of Forty Depths Beneath Knossos: ten depths of The Ochre Passages, the corridors Daedalus drew with his own hand and can no longer trust. It ends at depth ten, where Icarus is waiting.
What's in the demo
Ten handcrafted depths. Each one a sealed maze: find the bronze seals, unbar the gates, reach the stair.
The bull. It walks the passages with you. You cannot fight it. Learn where it listens, creep past it, and don't be where it's looking.
Daedalus, the architect. He knows walls, not weapons. Pick up Ariadne's Clew, a thread of light to whatever you still need, and an ox-hide whip that stuns but never kills.
Chalk and memory. Mark the walls. Read your map, or don't, and earn the depth by feel.
The rescue of Icarus. Reach him at depth ten.
Your thread carries over
Finish the demo and the full game picks up your save at depth eleven, with Icarus at your side.
In the full game
Forty depths across four arcs: The Ochre Passages, The Salt Cisterns, The Bronze Foundry and The Gorgon Deeps. Rescue Icarus, Jason, Prometheus and Perseus, and switch between them — wax wings that glide over pits, a bronze sword, stolen fire, a gorgon's gaze. Earn the Favours of the Gods, and bring all five of you out into the daylight.
