About Hack You Demo
In Hack You, there's no abstract console where you "ping" an IP and crack servers like a puzzle. The focus is different: a regular PC desktop, real‑time chats, files on your drive, and people who put their trust in you.
You're not a ghost‑hacker lurking in the net. You are Ares – a programmer who was bankrupted and publicly shamed by his former friend Logan after the crypto‑startup Midas crashed. Now Logan is back with a new project, Northstar. To get to him, you'll have to go through Olivia – his girlfriend, who also belongs to your shared past.
⚫ What you do in the game
Sit at Ares's desktop – windows, folders, browser, messengers – just like a real computer.
Chat with Olivia on Kisscord – build rapport, help her with her indie game, earn her trust.
Write viruses in a code editor (VS‑Code style): trojan, stalker, grabber, session stealer – and compile them into .exe.
Hide the malware inside a Unity build and send it to Olivia with "just test my game, please".
Control the attack via a Kissgram bot – download files, watch her screen and webcam, deploy new viruses on her machine.
Hack her accounts – Kissgram, Kisscord – and read her private chats: mom, best friend, then Logan.
Break into Logan's PC – through files, Kisscord, social engineering: deliver a payload from someone he trusts.
Gather evidence as you go – notes, screenshots, texts on the disk; the story unfolds through what you find and what you do.
Every step isn't "open another port" – it's a new tool and a fresh moral blow: you use someone's trust as a key to their private life.
⚫ Real terminology – not Hollywood "movie hacking"
The code and interface show things close to real techniques: auth tokens, LevelDB, Local State, DPAPI decryption (CryptUnprotectData), AES‑GCM, tdata archives, Task Scheduler, bot APIs, and paths like %AppData%. The game doesn't teach you to hack – but it gives the feeling that real logic sits behind every button, not magic "Access Granted".
⚫ What sets us apart from other hacking games
Not a network puzzle – you work with people and their PCs, not abstract node maps.
Not a "hacker OS" simulator – the UI is closer to Windows + VS Code + Unity, not a terminal for terminal's sake.
Social engineering beats exploits – your main weapon isn't a zero‑day, it's "she trusts me".
A story‑driven thriller, not a sandbox – a tale of betrayal, Midas, Northstar, and revenge; gameplay follows a quest chain.
Moral weight – the game doesn't pretend you're a "cool hacker"; you see the cost of every move.
⚫ What the story is about
Ares and Logan grew up in a poor town and built Midas together. Logan lost other people's money – and saved himself by pinning the blame on his partner. Olivia remembers a different Logan and is torn between love and a new life. You move toward your goal – but along the way, you break more than just someone else's computer.
