About The Last 15 Minutes on Tau Alpha 7
WHAT THIS IS
The Last 15 Minutes on Tau Alpha 7 is an experimental project - it's an attempt to capture that powerful feeling we all know: the dramatic "Last Stand." The entire battle is 15 minutes, and most players will probably experience it a handful of times with friends across 3 difficulty levels. It's scored to a 15 minute long music track that players can "Sing along to" in a sense; there's a buff-granting voice feature that let's you shout lines. The lines change based on context, and get more and more desperate as the game goes on. Think of it as a drama you play with your friends, or a 15 minute song that you sing together with panic and gunfire.
WHO THIS ISN'T FOR:
If you want a deep systems shooter — builds, mastery, several hours — this isn't it, and we'd rather tell you now. This is one intense night with your friends: a short experiment in pathos. Great for a short play alone, with friends, or on a stream!
YOU'VE BEEN RUNNING FOR DAYS.
The colony is gone. Your families have been massacred. Now, what's left of you is standing at the evac point on Tau Alpha 7, and the dropship is finally, finally coming. Ten minutes out, they said.
Your whole body aches. Your hands have gone numb around the rifle. And the darkness just past the wall has started to shift, and move, and come.
"THIS IS IT! THIS IS WHERE WE MAKE OUR STAND! WE FIGHT, OR WE DIE!"
THE FIGHT
Hold the gate. Weld it back together when they crack it. Spend your salvage or hoard it. Scream into the dark with your squad and pick which fire to put out first — the ones at the wall, the ones on your flank, or the ones coming up out of the ground behind you.
