In every fantasy tale, someone hands out the quests. That someone is you.
You've inherited a run-down adventurer's guild, granted by royal decree. Farmers, merchants, nobles and desperate widows walk through your door with problems they can't solve. Adventurers stumble in looking for work. You stand between them — matching the right hero to the right job, and taking your cut.
MATCH HEROES TO QUESTS
A goblin raid needs a fighter. A poisoned swamp needs someone who knows antidotes. Send the naive rookie and he's cheap — but he might not come home. Send the seasoned mercenary and your commission shrinks. Every assignment is a calculation.
GEAR THEM UP — OR DON'T
Potions, blades, torches, lucky charms. Equipment raises their odds of success, but it comes out of your pocket. Consumables are gone forever. That masterwork sword returns only if the hero does.
HEROES ARE PERMANENT
They grow. They gain experience, loyalty, and reputation. They remember how you treated them. And when one dies in a cave you sent them to, they're gone for good — along with everything you lent them.
THE CROWN IS WATCHING
Rent comes due. A royal inspector audits your record — too many failures and too many corpses earn you warnings. Three warnings and the guild is taken back. Keep the ledger clean, or lose everything.
BUILD YOUR LEGACY
Start in a crumbling shack with a cracked counter. Earn enough, and grow into a respected guild, then an elite institution, and finally a hall worthy of the crown itself. Better halls draw better heroes, and better heroes take on the quests that make legends.
