About We Don't Exist Demo
— intercepted transmission fragment: "…the subject is awake. Begin the evaluation."A place with no name
You wake up in a cubic room. Four doors, one per wall. No explanation — only a voice through the speakers, clinical and cynical, welcoming you to your "tests". To that voice, you are not a person. You are Subject 101.Every door is a gamble
Behind each door: another room, identical at first glance. Some are safe. Others hide lethal traps or puzzles blocking the way. You can backtrack at any time — but traps never deactivate. Somewhere in the maze, there is an exit. No one will tell you where. You are not alone — which might be worse
Other subjects wander the rooms. Some will help you. Others will lie to you, rob you, or sacrifice you without blinking. You decide who deserves your trust — and what happens to those who don't.You are being watched
Every move is observed, logged, commented on. The voice judges you. And the deeper you go, the louder one question becomes: what are these tests really for? What you do leaves marks
Spare or execute. Help or abandon. There is no morality meter on screen — but nothing is forgotten. This demo
A vertical slice of about 30 minutes: the maze's first tests, up to the first moment of rest. What you do here follows you into the full game.Features (in this demo)
- A maze of cubic rooms to explore freely — push forward, backtrack, go around
- Lethal traps and puzzles, always active, never forgiving
- Several survivors: potential allies, guaranteed traitors
- An ever-present voice that comments, taunts and judges (full French VO, English subtitles)
- Your moral choices are watched and remembered
- A claustrophobic atmosphere: cold neon, half-light, silence that listens
- As a bonus, 2-player local split screen (Versus races, Duo Survival) — requires a controller and a keyboard (or two controllers)
Inspired by paranoid sci-fi chamber thrillers (Cube) — a psychological thriller where the real question isn't "how do I get out", but "who will I be when I do".
This demo is only the beginning: it will keep evolving with each update — content and visuals alike. Feedback, a bug, an idea? The "Write to us" button on the main menu sends us your message directly.
