About
Lern Island Letters is a short narrative game where you play as a postman, sorting the mail of the five intriguing residents of a peaceful remote island. Pick up on their peculiar habits, discover their secrets without opening the envelopes, and try to save this natural haven from its fate before the end of the week.
This experience is brief, at around 30 minutes, making it easily replayable if you want to find all the clues and jokes, or if you think you can get a better ending than on your first playthrough.
Less reading, more mystery
Even if you’re just replacing your grandfather as a postman for a week, you intend on remaining professional: opening people’s mail is not an option. Since they have lived here for decades, everyone has lost the habit of clearly specifying the recipient, so you’ll have to rely on clues on the envelopes and packages to find who to send them to.
Is the fate of the island sealed ?
On your very first day, you learn that the island is about to become the building grounds for a hugely touristic waterpark, threatening local nature and the peace of the residents…talk about a bad case of the Mondays.
If you’re clever, you might notice suspicious business going on, but you’re just a postman: surely it can’t be you who’ll save the day, if the only thing you can do is sort the mail?
Cozy corner office, sea view
Sit in your chair and relax: the small post office is located next to the beach with a stunning view of the Atlantic ocean. Take your time, enjoy the calm and the sound of the waves. Soon you’ll ask yourself if your mood is a reflection of the changing weather…or the opposite?
Alternative fonts for better readability
Handwritten fonts are an integral part of the game since every resident has a unique calligraphy style, which can sometimes help unravel a thread of the mystery. To make sure every letter can be read easily by everyone, holding right-click at any time will switch every text to a simpler and more accessible font.
